Winter Park FL
One of my favorite pastimes is eating, therefore, it was easy to choose food as my first topic to cover on the blog. I will be reviewing the restaurants around Winter Park FL, from the popular spots to the low key places.
PRATO: One of the most popular restaurants in the Winter Park area, Prato is known for its amazing pizza, lively bar, and great location on Park Avenue. Perfect spot for meeting up with friends or date night, but make sure to plan ahead and make a reservation. My order? Campagna Salad, Mustard Spaghettini, and the Margherita Pizza (I have a large appetite don't judge).
CAFE DE FRANCE: Whenever I eat here I feel like I'm right back in Paris, especially when I get the French waiter. This could be a great lunch or dinner place for when you're feeling some French cuisine. I love to eat outside here, it's great place to people watch. The pommes frites (french fries, thank you french class) are amazing. My order? French Onion Soup, Salmon, and the Pommes Frites.
BLU: If you're looking for a menu with variety, this is your place. Blu has a great menu with various options. They have nice appetizers to share such as salmon chips or the baked fontina (melted CHEESE) and yummy meals like sushi or the filet mignon. My order? Edamame, Burrata Salad, and Crème brûlée.
SAKARI: Had to give a shout out to my favorite sushi spot. I come here way too much. Splitting a sushi boat with friends is a great way to get a variety of rolls and sushimi. My order? Miso Soup, House Salad with Ginger Dressing, and Brown Rice California Roll.
PEPES CANTINA: Fun spot to go to if you're feeling some Mexican cuisine. The tableside guac is a must to order alongside your choice of margarita (they even have an avocado one). My friends and I love booking huge tables and coming here all together before we go out. My order? Sangria and Chips n Guac.
WINE ROOM: Such a unique Winter Park spot- with 100 plus wine selections via machine dispensaries. Just fill up your card with however much you want to spend and you're set. Wine Room has amazing cheese boards, flatbreads, and sandwiches. A great spot for friends. My order? Some merlot and the truffle flatbread.
BUTTERMILK BAKERY: The cutest bakery. They have a small menu that changes frequently filled with toasts, pastries, and breakfast favorites with a twist. Their croissants are life changing. Make sure to sit outside by the succulent wall! My order? Whatever toast they are featuring and an Almond Croissant.
BARNIES: A staple food source for most college kids in the area, Barnies is a favorite for coffee and brunch (and to instagram). Their light menu consists of avocado toast, waffles, granola bowls, scrambled eggs, and farm fresh salads. I love coming here to do homework or meet up with friends. My order? Iced Green Tea with a Mango Infusion and the Lox Bagel.
BRIARPATCH: Obviously. This is one of the most popular brunch spots in the Orlando area with unreal pancakes, french toast, and omelets. Usually packed on the weekends so try coming during the week! My order? Avocado Toast and Raspberry Lemon Cream Pancakes.
Basically, this is why I have no money.
