DELISH and EASY and HEALTHY. What a combo. This is one of my favorite Lebanese dishes and something I grew up having. Don't believe the grocery stores when they say the weird grain thing they sell is "tabouli".. this is the real deal.
WHAT YOU NEED
2/3 bunches of parsley
1 big tomato
1/2 onion or 2 scallions
Handfull of chopped fresh mint
2 teaspoons of bulgar
1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice
Salt to taste
HOW TO MAKE IT
It's very simple and pretty self-explanatory to make this salad. The key is to chop everything VERY finely and small. Sometimes restaurants will use a food processor to simplify the recipe, but it tastes way better when it's done by hand. You literally just chop everything up, mix it all together, and toss it in the lemon and oil. Of course, you should be taste testing and be adding accordingly.
This Lebanese classic salad is so good and is great for lunch, dinner, snack, even breakfast if that's how you roll. You can serve it with fresh pita bread and romaine lettuce slices.
As always, let me know if you try it!
