One of the most important things to do is to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally. This is also what we skip out on the most. Life gets the best of us and before you know it you've gained 10 pounds and are crying in the line at Starbucks (may or may not have happened to me). We don't want that to happen to anyone so here are a couple tips about practicing self-care.
- ME TIME This is not at all selfish. Sometimes you need to take a second for yourself and relax. Read a book, do a face mask, watch your favorite trashy reality TV show, or just take a nap. We get to wrapped up in the stress of life and the need to be everywhere. You will survive the FOMO, take a break.
- EXERCISE Trust me I am not someone who is obsessed with working out, but even going on a walk makes me feel 100x better about myself. Make your barre class a priority and schedule it in your day. Remember you're really never "too busy" to work out, just wake up an hour earlier if need be. Your body will thank you.
- EAT WELL I find that when I'm eating healthy meals, both my mind and body thank me. I feel good about myself and start to have more confidence. Cooking with friends is a great way to socialize and making a healthy meal makes it even better.
